Hello, 2014

Keeping up with a blog is hard work. It's hard to dedicate time to posting when I've got so many other things to work on. But I'm going to try and change that for this year.

Sixteen days into the new year and I'm still feeling the buzz of a fresh start and new possibilities. I'm striving to still have this feeling when it's sixteen days left of the new year.
I'm kind of freaking out because I'm graduating at the end of the year and well...I don't exactly have a set freelancing job yet. I'm working towards that but it feels impossible and stupid sometimes.

With a new year I've got some new goals. I really want to commit myself to working hard.
I'm striving to design one new print EVERY week. And print them the following week. I want to have 30 new pieces to sell for this year's Craft Lake City and so far I've got five.
I also want to get into making plushes, redesign the blog, and create my own website.
And I really want to grow my illustration skills by including environments and people.

So for last week's fresh print I designed Ghost in the Woods.
It was semi-inspired by the dire wolves in Game of Thrones and House Stark. Drawing the snow, trees, and balancing shapes and space was possibly the hardest part of this design.
Paper's on the way so expect to see this puppy fresh off the press next week!

Up next: Ukioy-e Gojira!
